FUNDI is South Africa’s leading education finance and fund management solution specialist.
Since we first started in 1996, we have provided 900 000 education loans to students and sponsors, with funding to the collective value of R5 billion. In 2000, we also pioneered South Africa’s first fund administration smart card solution, called the FUNDI card. Since 2010, we have administered over R10 billion in bursary funds.
We provide access to funding, and enable more students - whether school-going or adult - to realise their potential.

Our education loan solutions cover all things educational - at all levels of education. From funding to cover outstanding balances and registration fees, tuition, tutoring, textbooks, accommodation, learning tools and technology, uniforms, and stationery, all study-related items.

Going cashless at schools
We have launched a new transactional business to help schools and universities be a cashless environment: FUNDI Cashless. The FUNDI Cashless solution enables parents to load pocket money into a learner or student’s account. The student can choose whether they want to transact or purchase items like food using their cell phones, cards, or lanyard.
Our cashless services ensure that scholars from Grade 1 upwards do not lose their money, and that they do not spend their money on unnecessary items. The FUNDI Cashless transacting devices can block the purchases of unnecessary items. FUNDI also collaborates with specific tutoring and academic support groups to negotiate special offers that assist the students to perform at their best in their studies. Our aim is to assist all students to achieve their education goals by playing a role in every facet of their education journey.
